Results


In our first 4 years together, we have accomplished a lot. Infrastructure, Roads, Highways, Water, Recreation Projects, Communications and much more. Here is a sample of some of what we have achieved in Division 3.

Infrastructure, Roads, Highways and Water
  • Flood Projects 
    • $9.6 million in flood recovery projects in Division 3
  • Road Projects
    • Millarville Road - resurfacing
    • 192 St W (Racetrack Road) - two lifts of chip seal with culvert replacement
  • Highway Projects
    • Highway 549 East - resurfacing
    • Highway 22 - resurfacing
    • Highway 762 - four slide area repairs underway with resurfacing either Fall 2017 or Spring/Summer 2018.  Approximately $11 million invested.
  • Pipelines
    • Turner Valley to Millarville Pipeline - funded through Building Canada Grant - Federal 1/3, Provincial 1/3 and Municipal 1/3 (municipal portion to be 100% cost recovered through connections) 
    • West Foothills Water investigation
    • Square Butte water line investigation

Recreation Projects
  • North West Foothills Recreation Board 
    • Acquired $116,000 in private funds for developing the new ball diamonds at the Seaman Sports Park 
    • Completed ball diamonds, fencing, dugouts, bleachers, grand sign, parking area and additional shale
  • Millarville Sports Association (MSA)
    • $40,000 in private funds for upgrades to the hockey rink and Rancher's Hall in Millarville
    • $44,000 in additional funds for ongoing projects
    • Congratulations to MSA for winning the $50,000 Hitmen grant!
  • Square Butte Hall
    • $20,000+ in funding towards new septic field
    • Lot grading for improved drainage and additional parking
    • $4,000 for maintenance and clean up
  • Millarville Racing and Agriculture Society
    • $7,000 for the tents and Family Fun Zone at the Priddis-Millaville Fair
    • $4,000 towards Millarville Half Marathon
    • $4,000 for maintenance and clean up
    • Regular dust control, grading, use of water truck for events
  • Leighton Art Centre
    • Acquired $25,000 in private funds to complete essential repairs at the Leighton Art Centre

Communications
  • Live Updates
