Foothills County Enhanced Policing Update (@ 1:12)
On Wednesday, May 8th, Council received an update presentation from members of the Okotoks, Turner Valley and High River RCMP detachments on how the County's Enhanced Policing Project was going and provide 1st quarter results.
The feedback we received from the officers were extremely positive with them demonstrating decreases in both personal and property crimes. The increased presence they are providing within the far west of Millarville and north west, Priddis areas have had a very favorable impact.
Council has decided to continue on with the project as it has been going so well.
Public Works Road Crews (@ 2:45)
Public works updated Council that they have their full contingent of seasonal crews back up and working. As I mentioned previously, the winter was not kind to the County roads so there is a lot of work for them to do.
If you have problem areas with your roads, contact the public works department to report the issues and they will place them on the list for repair. Since there is a lot to do, they will get to them as quickly as possible.
Spring Road Bans Coming Off May 13th (@ 3:20)
The Spring Road Bans will be lifted May 13th. Visit the Public Works web page for updates: https://www.mdfoothills.com/services/public-works--engineering.html
